Dreamtime Awards

We are very excited to announce that one of our employees, Hazel Vale, has been selected as a finalist for Community Person of the Year in the inaugural Dreamtime Awards. Hazel was nominated for the fantastic work she does through Batiba Guwiyal in her home town of Armidale in New South Wales; and is one of four finalists in her category.

Batiba Guwiyal is Murawin’s not for profit arm which undertakes community orientated initiatives to drive positive change in Aboriginal communities. So far all of Batiba Guwiyal’s work has been focused in Armidale, with Hazel coordinating a range of events throughout the year; including community events for NAIDOC, White Balloon Day, Mental Health Month and more. We are so pleased that Hazel is being recognised for the hard work and passion she puts into her work; she is so dedicated to making a positive difference in her community and we are very proud of her.

The Dreamtime Awards will be held on 17 November at The Star in Sydney. Murawin will be attending, along with some of our associates, and look forward to cheering Hazel on!
