Tiddas in Business

Through Tiddas in Business we see the lives of women transformed through unleashing their economic potential. It is all about supporting one another, learning from each other and sharing our business journey’s together. In 2018/2019, Murawin, in collaboration with Indigenous Business Australia and the Queensland Government Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (under their Advancing Women in Business iniative), delivered two streams of business workshops for Indigenous women in business, or interested in getting into business.

Murawin / IBA Business Model Canvas Workshops were held in ten locations across the country, including Armidale, Tamworth, Perth, Adelaide, Parramatta, Hobart, Cairns, Queanbeyan, Melbourne and Darwin.

Murawin / Department of Employment, Small Business and Training, Advancing Indigenous Women in Business Workshops were held in four locations across QLD, including Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Thursday Island.

We hope to continue hosting similar workshops in 2020 and in September 2020, will host our inaugral Tiddas in Business Gathering, a conference which will see delegates from around the country connect and share wisdom, knowledge and stories of Indigenous women in business and their success.

Tiddas in Business also operates through the online Tiddas in Business platform, which is a culturally safe online platform for entrepreneurs and business women to exchange strategies and initiatives in support of women’s economic empowerment; with a focus on inspiration and sharing knowledge.

It is open to both Indigenous women and non-Indigenous women, as our focus in on “doing deadly business together”.
